"EMS Agency of the Year"
The Cicero Fire Department recently received notification that we were recently selected as the recipient of the "EMS Agency of the Year" by CNY EMS that will be award in July.
This will be the second time in six years we have been the recipient of this award and would not have achieved this award without the dedication of our EMS Providers / Members who dedicate countless hours attending training classes.
We are also happy to announce (was posted previously last week) that Cicero Firefighter / EMT John Flanagan is the recipient of the "BLS Provider of the Year" and will also receive his award at the same awards ceremony.
On behalf of the Chief's & President's Office, we thank our 70 + members for their continued dedication to the department and residents of the Town of Cicero.

On Saturday October 1, 2016 several members of the Cicero Fire Department were in attendance at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant for the annual Onondaga County Volunteer Firemens Association (OCVFA) Installation and Awards Dinner.
At this event, the following current and former Cicero Fire Department members were awarded with a Meritorious Act Medal for their initial actions on-scene of a serious Motor Vehicle Collision which involved several Mutual Aid Agencies and spanned several hours in September of 2015 at the intersection of Route 31 and Route 81.
On Thursday October 13, 2016 President Christopher Hines, Commissioner James Perrin and Chief Jon Barrett were on hand with representatives from M&T
Bank and Pinsky Law Firm to sign and finalize the loan to construct the new fire station that will be our home for the next 40 - 50 years.
This project has been in the development stages for the last four years and has faced many different obstacles, however working together as a TEAM these obstacles were overcome.
As we begin to move forward with the construction, it is our intention to begin the site clearing within the coming weeks with addition construction to follow after.
